Welcome, and thanks for expressing an interest in Carmichaels First United Methodist Church. Our mission as a congregation is to lead people to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, to challenge them and ourselves to grow in this relationship as we discover and use our spiritual gifts, and to minister to the needs of the community in the power of the Holy Spirit and to the glory of God. This mission is at the center of everything we do and it helps mold the various ways that we reach out to others in the community. If you have been searching for a place to belong, and to grow spiritually, our hearts, our minds and our doors are always open. We hope you will join us on our journey of faith.
What To Expect When You Visit
Our Sunday services typically include the singing of a blend of praise choruses and traditional hymns, sharing readings from scripture, a children’s time and a sermon. We celebrate Holy Communion monthly, on the first Sunday of each month, and on other special occasions.
As you enter, our greeters will give you a bulletin for the service, and answer any questions you may have about the service or activities at the church. You are welcome to come to church as you are. You will see folks in everything from blue jeans to suits. Infants and children are always welcome in our worship services. After Children’s time the children may either stay through the rest of the service or participate in Jr. Church. A nursery is also available.
